Employment Law Changes coming into effect in April - Requiring new Contracts of Employment and Policies
We are currently working on re-issuing SPA Contracts of Employment and Policies to incorporate Employment Law changes coming into effect in April – we’ll do the work so you don’t have to !
You may be aware that within the Members Document Library (in the Resources section of our website) there are several HR documents available for your use including policies, letter templates and a template employment contract (currently called Statement & Terms & Conditions of Employment). We have commissioned Menzies Law, our retained employment lawyers to undertake the following work;
1. Review and update where necessary, the employment policies in the library
2. Create two separate SPA Employment Contracts (replacing the current employment contract template), one for junior staff and one for management level personnel. Both will incorporate the legislative changes coming into effect from April, which affect not just when an employee has to receive a written statement of particulars of employment but most importantly, what this set of terms should include.
These reviews and additions will provide you with up to date documents which you will be able to use with confidence and which will save you both time and money.
Please forward this to your HR Department or to the person responsible for issuing Employment Contracts.
