Paper Market and Sheetfeeding Update - an update on the ever changing paper supply situation. We will be hearing from a Paper Buyer and a Paper Broker on what is actually happening in the market for paper.
The Fall from Favour of Single Use Plastics and the Effect on the Demand for Paper – can the Paper Industry in the UK, Europe and Globally gear up to satisfy the increased demand for Paper and Paper based products…. ? We are delighted to welcome Simon Weston (MICWM) Director of Raw Materials for the Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI) as our keynote speaker - he will be exploring the effect on demand for, and use of, paper as a substitute for single use plastics.
Digital vs Analogue - a debate on 'which is best for what application?' Les Pickering and Nick Kirby will be preaching the benefits of both in a debate style session... Hopefully concluding which format is best for what applications.
Corrugated Industry - Market Update - following his visit visit to the AICC Spring meeting in Pheonix, Arizona, Niel Osment will be commenting on Paper demand/supply and market conditions is the US and Europe. He will be discussing the effect of these Macro Economic trends on UK Sheet Plants.
Employment Law - Update - Luke Menzies will be discussing recent changes within the HR world including - Gender Pay Gap, The Apprenticeship Levy and the launch of the 'SPA Social Media Guidelines' which are now available to download from the SPA website.
