The AI Discovery Workshop Initiative involves a half-day session, run on-site with your leadership team, that shows you where AI and automation can save time, release cash and protect the knowledge your business depends on. You leave with a costed, prioritised report that you own.
Why it matters
Most sheet plants run on lean teams, long-serving people and a lot of manual work. Stock and orders get cross-referenced by hand, paperwork gets scanned by the hour and decades of know-how sit with people who will one day retire. AI is already arriving in the sector, often through staff quietly using tools with no policy behind them.

What happens on the Day
AI Expert will spend time with your leadership team mapping out how your business runs: how work is won, produced and supported. They’ll help identify frictions, put a value against each opportunity and agree the priorities together. Every finding traces back to what your team said and to a rate card you agree on the day, so the numbers are yours.
The four areas looked at during the AI Discovery Workshop are:
- Operational efficiency at scale. The manual, repetitive work that eats time and caps growth.
- Financial and commercial visibility. Real-time sight of revenue, margin and cost, and freeing your commercial people to sell.
- Knowledge and succession secured. Capturing what sits in your key people before it walks out of the door.

What you Receive
Following your AI Discovery Workshop you will be delivered a costed report, that you keep, outlining the opportunities found, banded returns, a phased plan for delivery and a clear recommendation on where to start.
If you want to go further, AI Expert can deliver the recommendations alongside you. If not, the report is yours to act on however you choose.
Pricing
- The AI Expert AI Workshop usually costs £3,500
- AI Expert have reduced the price by £500 for SPA members
- The SPA is subsidising the SPA Initiative by a further £500 for SPA Members
Therefore, the cost to SPA members for the AI Discovery Workshop is £2,500 + VAT.
