Aims & Objectives of the SPA

The Sheet Plant Association (SPA) is the UK trade association that promotes the interests of the corrugated sheet plant sector.

The SPA co-ordinates and pursues joint action in respect of matters affecting the corrugated packaging industry, the Sheet Plant sector and the wider paper industry. It co-operates with associations having similar aims and objectives, not only in the UK, but also in Europe and the USA and works with these associations to keep members informed about regulatory and legislative developments impacting the corrugated sheet plant industry.

The SPA provides a forum for members involved in the corrugated cardboard sheet plant industry to meet and discuss matters of common interest with other companies engaged in that sector. The SPA organises regular Events which include 3 annual Conferences, a biannual Trade Show, Forums - both online and in-person, e.g. BRCGS, Health & Safety to promote industry knowledge sharing & engagement.

The SPA:

Offers online sales and industry training and mentoring resources for its members, e.g. Sales Masterclasses, SPA Emerging Leaders. These training programs, guides and tools serve to upskill members and their teams.
Promotes and encourages best practise amongst member companies, provides training for industry specific skills and knowledge, and supports co-operative, non-competitive working between member companies.
Initiates Health & Safety resources and initiatives, like audits, to help members maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
Encourages and supports members in adopting sustainable practices.
Provides platforms like Supplier Showcases and UK Corrugated Industry Trade Show to connect members with key suppliers and innovations.

SPA Converter Members represent corrugated sheet plant converter businesses from around the UK and Ireland - SPA Members can login to the website and access a geographical map of Members locations via the Members tab. Supplier Members represent UK, European and Global suppliers of equipment and services for use by the corrugated converter industry.
