Calling all Sales Directors... Sales Training in 7 days time

13th June 2016

This Conference on 20th June will be of special interest to Sales Directors and Marketing Managers tasked with managing the sales and marketing of your business.

We are delighted to confirm Stuart Lotherington from SBR Consulting will be presenting at Conference. Stuart, who travels the globe delivering his Worldclass sales training, will be introducing two vitally important topics, namely -

1. How do you design your sales process the way your customers like to buy ?
2. Is your sales methodology out of date? How do modern top producers sell ?

  Stuart Lotherington

It is Stuart's intention to introduce these areas at Conference with a view to preparing a Sales Managers' Masterclass which will be delivered to members at the UK Corrugated Industry Trade Show in September.

For those companies who don't have a full time Financial Director, or fear they do not have proper control in the area of accounting and finance, both operationally and strategically - we have a session you really shouldn't miss... Mark Nicholls, MD of Tectona Partnership Ltd. having worked closely with several companies within our sector will be running a live  Quad² session on some data showing:

•       Thoughts on the price:volume ratio (touched on last time)
•       Achieving manufacturing efficiencies
•       Review effect of buying new kit and how to fund it
•       See how the cash builds (or not)!

Mark runs a Team of 15 commercially savvy Finance Directors with extensive experience of working within packaging and the manufacturing sector. Tectona work with owners of businesses:

- who have no experienced or competent Finance Director (or CFO)
- who are (management) time poor
- who have 'mission critical' financial issues
- and who do not fully appreciate where to focus their limited resource

With Conference just a few days before the Referendum on Membership of the EU - we will be debating 'Brexit or not'... There will be spaeakers in favour and against Brexit and the opportunity for questions from the floor. We will also conduct an Exit Poll and see how 'representative' SPA members are to the country as a whole.... It should be a lively debate that will naturally be entertaining but with serious undertones....

Neil Osment from NOA will be presenting the results of the SPA Member's Survey 2016. Some 50 companies responded to the survey and the reults make interesting reading... It is not too late to conduct the Survey it only takes a few minutes and can be found on the SPA Home Page or here

We will also be engaging with our valued Supplier Members in a Supplier Members' Forum. The aim of the forum is to fully explain the format and scale of the forthcoming UK Corrugated Industry Trade Show 2016 in September. This eagerly awaited event is at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole at the NEC and offers the Trade Show bigger and better facilities than previous shows.

The Supplier Members' Forum will explain the exhibition hall layout and facilities for 3 phase power, lighting, stand size and complexity etc. We encourage all Supplier Members to attend to ensure they get maximum benefit from the Show.

The full Conference Agenda will be published nearer the time, but the topics will include -
