SPA Emerging Leaders Continue Their Leadership Development Journey at Sheard Packaging

Twenty-two delegates from the SPA Emerging Leaders Programme recently came together at Sheard Packaging for Module 3 of the two-year leadership development programme.

Focusing on Managing and Building Teams, the module explored the skills and behaviours required to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams within today's corrugated packaging industry.

Delegates were welcomed by the Sheard Packaging leadership team, Roger Whittaker, Lee Shackleton and Dave Hainsworth, who shared valuable insights from their own leadership journeys during a highly engaging "HIGTH" (How I Got To Here) session.  Their openness and experience provided delegates with practical examples of leadership in action and generated valuable discussion throughout the morning.

The SPA Emerging Leaders Programme is designed specifically for ambitious individuals working within the corrugated packaging sector.  Through a combination of interactive learning modules, industry visits, individual projects, HIGTH sessions and networking opportunities, participants develop the leadership, commercial, management and interpersonal skills needed to progress into future leadership roles.  The programme is open exclusively to SPA Member companies.

The programme continues to play an important role in supporting talent development across the industry, helping member companies invest in the next generation of leaders.
