Thank you, Goodbye and Good Luck!

From time to time there is a 'change of guard' in our sector... today we say 'good bye' and 'thank you' to two stalwarts of the SPA ....

Richard Jarratt is an Honorary Life Member of the SPA, who was Chairman of the Association from 1998 to 2008.  SH Fiske joined the Association when it was SPOA (Sheet Plant Operators’ Association) back in the early 90s.  Tim Gray, the current Chairman of SPA, was lucky enough to work alongside Richard as his Vice Chairman from 1999 until 2010 and together they shaped the SPA into the Association it is today.  A few words from Tim:

“Richard has been an inspiration to me as he was hardworking, selfless and cared passionately about raising standards within our sector and was instrumental in forging long-lasting relationships with AICC and CPI “ 

 

Julie Jarvis has worked with the SPA secretariat for many years - managing and co-ordinating SPA Conferences and Trade Shows with Allan Glen.  Julie is leaving us to spend more time on her smallholding in Leicestershire.  We wish her all the best for the future.

We wish both Richard and Julie all the best in the next chapter of their lives and hope that they will keep in contact and watch our progress as we continue to build the Association and 'Promote Business Excellence'...
