Prime Minister’s announcement

The Prime Minister announced on 19th January that England is returning to Plan A coronavirus restrictions.  ‘Working from home’ guidance has ended, and employees should talk to their employer about return to the workplace.  From 20 January, pupils no longer have to wear face masks in classrooms.

In addition, from Thursday 27 January there was an end to the mandatory wearing of face masks.  While there is still a legal requirement to self-isolate, the prime minister does not expect to renew those regulations beyond 24 March when they currently expire.
